Since 1981, Rockford Area Crime Stoppers has partnered with citizens, civic leaders, the media and law enforcement to prevent and solve crime throughout Rockford and Winnebago County. Our mission is simple: empower the community to share information safely and anonymously.
When your tip leads to an arrest or charges filed, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 — no names, no questions, no court appearances. Together, we can make our neighborhoods stronger and safer for everyone.

Crime Stoppers encourages the community to call their respective police agencies if they have information regarding a crime. If they are uncomfortable doing so, they can call Crime Stoppers to report the information and remain completely anonymous.

Rockford Area Crime Stoppers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works in partnership with the community, the media and law enforcement to prevent and solve crime and create a safer community. No tax dollars are used to pay rewards.
Since launching in 1981, Rockford Area Crime Stoppers has paid over $2.3 million in tipster rewards. Those tips led to the arrest of nearly 24,000 criminals and cleared over 38,000 felony cases. We can't continue to help solve crimes without your support.
